JUBILEE RESIDENTS TAKE THEIR CUES SERIOUSLY!

By Logan Eubank

Rack‘em up!  Let the match begin!  It’s billiards season at Jubilee Los Lunas, New Mexico’s premier active adult community, and competition is in full swing.   Fun for all, the annual Jubilee Billiards Tournament starts in November and runs through April, with our resident pool sharks racking up weekly tournament play, hoping to advance to the semi-finals and finals.

Participants were randomly paired for the tournament, making the event as fair as possible to players of all skill levels.  Once underway, the tournament really started heating up.  Some take this event so seriously that they bring their own pool cues and practice on a daily basis.

If you’re an active adult who loves a challenge, bring your game and stop by!  Our tournament players would welcome the challenge and extra practice.  Personally, I’d be putting my money on our Jubilee players.  I get to watch them from time to time, and I can tell you they know how to hit the pocket!

You’ll find our pool tournament players in Villa billiards room, which is fully equipped with two billiards tables, a TV and two bar fridges to keep the waiting players entertained as the rounds progress.  With 28 participants competing once a week and practicing daily, it’s no wonder Jubilee is called an active adult community!   One thing is for sure…our Jubilee billiard players are honing their skills and building great friendships at the same time.

Shooting pool is just one of the many activities that keep Jubilee residents active and healthy.  Some of the most popular exertive activities include morning workouts, Zumba, swimming, basketball, pickleball, tennis, bocce ball, hiking and biking.  Other more passive favorites include playing cards and Mahjong, crafts & cooking classes, book club, movies, dances, wine tastings and parties.

Whether you consider yourself a pool shark, or just love to be active, Jubilee Los Lunas is the perfect place to call home.
