We quickly learned that Jubilee was no “typical” senior community.
While we were still working in the Northwest, we would dream about moving to the Albuquerque area after retirement. Eventually our dreaming turned into a plan, and we decided to buy some acreage in the greater Albuquerque area and build a home on it. While looking for property in Los Lunas, we stumbled upon Jubilee while searching online. Without question, we like the people living here, and we like the many activities that get us together with our neighbors in Jubilee.

Longing for more warmth and sunshine, we accepted
a long-time friend’s invitation to visit him and
his wife at Jubilee. The rest is history!
We recently retired and moved from Washington State to our beautiful new Jubilee home. We’ve made wonderful new friends, our grandchildren love to visit us, we enjoy the local New Mexican cuisine, and we’re looking forward to exploring New Mexico.

Bobby’s job brought us to Albuquerque.
Fate and our Realtor brought us to Jubilee!
We enjoy days of shopping, culture, art and history in nearby Albuquerque and Santa Fe, but our favorite activity is hiking the mountain in our “backyard,” as our grandson calls it! We look forward to creating close friendships and enjoying all that Jubilee has to offer.

When I retired, most of my friends were still working
and I had no one to play with. Plus, I wanted SUN!
My sun-filled days include discovering a new restaurant for breakfast with other Jubilee women every Wednesday, seeing the cranes and snow geese at Bosque del Apache, taking in plays at local theaters and all the wonderful things to do at Jubilee.

Our daughter, who wanted to buy our existing home from us, recommended that we check out Jubilee. We’re sure glad we followed her advice!
We love making new friends at the Villa and throughout the community. We also enjoy going for long walks and hikes, working out at the Villa gym, and meeting neighbors and friends at the Villa. Spending relaxing days in Albuquerque at the Zoo and Old Town are also on our list of favorite activities!

Having lived in New Mexico in the early 70s and mid-80s, we always knew we would return to
the Land of Enchantment.
Walking and hiking the mountains and Bosque are favorite pastimes, along with pool tournaments, bocce ball, happy hour and karaoke. And Shelley love dancing under the starry New Mexico skies. We also enjoy Albuquerque for its arts, concerts, museums and “wild west” outdoor artwork.

We drove down from Albuquerque after seeing a small ad in the paper and immediately knew
this was the place we’d been looking for!
We love our neighbors, the social activities and the community, and we spend lots of time hiking the trails around El Cerro, biking and looking for petroglyphs. Plus, driving Historic Route 66 was on our retirement list of things to do, so actually “living on it” is really fun!

We moved to Jubilee because we wanted to downsize,
and have found a wonderful life!
We play Mahjong, Bridge and bocce ball, and get involved in painting, beading and exercise classes. And we always look forward to the delicious community pot lucks and themed meals. It’s a wonderful life here at Jubilee!

We came to New Mexico during Balloon Fiesta
and fell in love with the area and the community!
We really like many of the activities at the Villa such as working out at the fitness center and participating in the yoga classes. We also enjoy visiting Old Town Albuquerque and Santa Fe as there are numerous museums and places of interest to visit. Another one of our favorite activities is heading south to Bosque De Apache to see the waterfowl that migrate to the area every fall and winter. It’s a unique and beautiful area.

On a visit from Wisconsin, relatives of a friend showed
us a couple ads. One was of Jubilee
Los Lunas. It was an omen!
We enjoy visiting Old Town Albuquerque where we’ve met so many people by just visiting its shops and walking the square. We’re fascinated by the Native American cultures and impressed by the artisans, all of who enjoy sharing their traditions, cultures and crafts. Within an hour’s drive of Los Lunas is beautiful red rock terrain that transcends you into another world! There’s so much here, we can’t choose one favorite.
